X-Mix - A journey through punk, DIY, post-punk, proto-electro and synth punk.
A futureshock battle-plan for survival in the nuclear age, 1975-1985. Fast-forwarding back to a time when panic was hardwired into the DNA of a generation of messthetic misfits. This mix is an attempt to re-ignite that moment, via scorch-hot sonics.
From the DIY debris of an era in which decay was an everyday facet of life, these present-tense aural shards serve as an explosive corrective to our own impassive times.
Re-edited, melded and cauterised into one continuous mix and presented as a caustic dancefloor revision of diy & independent music from 1975-1985.
Selected and mixed by Hyena, Mike Bird & Duncan Clark, mixed down and engineered by Jean Gabriel-Becker
